Art Fund holds a central position in the visual arts and museums infrastructure in the UK, funding organisations, building audiences, and advocating for the sector. Since 2019, Wafer Hadley has worked closely with Art Fund, helping the independent charity improve access to art for all.
This was the fourth Museum Directors research conducted by Art Fund, covering national, local authority, university, and independent museums. The response base is UK- wide and a wide range of scales is represented in the sample, from organisations with more than 500 staff to those that are volunteer-run.
